Risk Register

Report risks that negatively impact on NUS.

Your contribution is essential in identifying and addressing risks before they escalate, enabling NUS to maintain a proactive and informed approach to manage risk exposure.

1) What is a Risk Register?

  • Report risks that negatively impact on NUS.
  • It follows through the risk management process to facilitate you in identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring your risks.
  • Your contribution is essential in identifying and addressing risks before they escalate, enabling NUS to maintain a proactive and informed approach to manage risk exposure.

2) Where do I report?

  • You can report through the Risk Reporting channel on Microsoft Teams.
  • HOD and his/her appointed Risk Representatives will be granted access to Risk Reporting channel after informing ORMC.
  • Risk Register is available in Risk Reporting channel. Identify your unit’s risk exposure using the Risk Register as a tool to guide you in through in assessing and documenting the risks.
  • This will feed into a central risk register for a holistic University-wide view on the risk exposure.

3) Frequency of Reporting

  • Units should review and update the Risk Register in the Risk Reporting channel on Microsoft Teams.
  • After updating, submit your Risk Register and change your “Submission Status” to “Submitted”. Submission is on a quarterly basis.

  • Risk Register is a systematic and structured tool for capturing information on the risks to an institution.
  • It follows through the risk management process to facilitate you in identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring your risks.
  • Risk Assessment Matrix is used to assess the risks with reference to Impact and Likelihood to derive the Risk Rating.

  • You can report through the Risk Reporting channel on Microsoft Teams.
